We've had a lot of storms lately. Jager, my dog, HATES storms. He shakes and wakes me so he's not by himself. Needless to say, I've had quite a few interrupted nights of sleep lately. Last night was the worst though - we were under a tornado warning for around half an hour. Thankfully Josh called to wake me, as I didn't hear the sirens! Me and my 65 pound dog in the bathtub.... that was an experience. I've decided my next house MUST have a basement - then I could just go back to sleep!
What do you do when you are under the threat of a tornado? Do you prepare any differently for the night if you know storms are coming?

Oh, how scary! I'm glad you're OK and that a tornado didn't actually hit. I've only been under a warning once here in Virginia and I was terrified. Sirens would totally freak me out!
We have a weather radio. We only use it if we know bad storms are coming. It will go off in the middle of the night DEFINITELY wake us and let us know what it is!
